Our Story

Hi there. my name is Gab, welcome!

This little passion project of mine began once I had my son in 2018 and became a stay-at-home mum. I was eager for a creative outlet and another sense of purpose. I wanted to create something that could be completely personalised and last for years, so I started to make my own leather goods. 

Have you ever had a hand me down belt? It may have been your father’s, or your grandmother’s, or maybe it’s much older than that? It’s well worn, stretched, creased but also soft, supple, and well-oiled from years of love and care. You wear it all the time. Each time you thread it through your belt loops and fasten it around your waist it’s like stepping back in time as the rich aroma of quality, well cared for leather envelopes you. There’s a story to each piece as it is passed down through generations. I wanted to create heirloom pieces for people - their very own piece of beautiful, wearable history. I wanted to be the storyteller's artisan, if you will.

I am completely self taught in terms of my crafting - I am constantly learning new techniques and ways of doing things so I can continue to improve the quality and level of craftsmanship of each piece I create.

Growing up in rural Australia I was always fascinated by the land, it's people and it's animals - their resilience and hardiness inspired me and I always found that something about this life was deeply profound an ruggedly beautiful - this made me want to create products of a resilient, tough, yet beautiful nature, to honour this connection to the land. 

With a strong emphasis on local and handmade, all our products are made in my small home studio in central west NSW - each order is created, quality checked and then packed by me. 

Our products are made with the finest quality leather, sourced from reputable Australian suppliers and are able to be customised to each client's needs.

• Sustainability: leather and animal hides are a byproduct of the meat industry, we honour the land by breathing new life into this incredible material and creating beautiful, unique pieces.
• Inspired by Rural Australia: the name and design of each piece encompasses the stories of the people, places and animals that have impacted my life and the brand is a nod to the rugged, beautiful, resilient land we call home.
